Paperwork to AWA today and Referral-versary

Well, we talked this morning over breakfast and decided that God has called us to pursue adopting from Ethiopia. If God is telling us to do it, we just need to continue acting in faith and trust Him with the results. So, in spite of the recent news about MOWA slowing down the process, we are proceeding in faith that this is what we are supposed to do. There has been no talk of the program closing completely and we will continue to pray that MOWA's decision gets overturned. If we do end up having to be in the adoption process for years, then God will equip us to do it.

So, I just FedExed our papers to our agency in the next week or so we should be DTE (dossier to Ethiopia). This date will place us in the waiting line for a referral.

I've been looking and praying for encouragement and just realized that two years ago yesterday, we saw this beautiful face for the first time. We received a call on March 13, 2009 that we had a son named Mamush Yosef (little boy Joseph) who was 6 months old and 13 pounds. What a great reminder of God's goodness and providence in adoption. Hopefully we'll get some very fun videos up here of a guitar jam session our now two-year old had with Ben Gulick on Sunday. Stay tuned. In the meantime please pray for us.

blessing

And what a blessing Tate is!! We're praying for the adoption. I'll have to start Josiah praying every day again. This time it will sound different from last time when he had to ask us the words every day, and he could never remember Opi-opia. :)

Heidi, that's awesome. I

Heidi, that's awesome. I didn't voice it to you guys, but that is exactly what I felt like God wanted you guys to do. He kept bringing to mind the precise timing...how He spoke to you through your friends when they said, "Do it now." Of course, we don't know what that means (will it be a quick process or a long process?), but we know that God is in it. And that's exciting. I love you guys! Malorie

Anniversaries

I don't guess I ever realized that March 13, 2009 was the day you and Joseph got your first glimpse of sweet Tate. That was the hard day we traveled to Cincinnati to have Anne-Claire and Elise's diagnosis of TTTS confirmed. I do remember that Tate came home to you right around the time Anne-Claire and Elise were born in May of 2009. As we reflect on our life two years ago, the blessings of then and now do not cease to amaze me. I'm so thankful for Tate and am happy to pray for the new little one(s) God has in store for your family.
